Course Name: Watercolor for Beginners Course ID: A&D-WCFB-209 Ages: 8-12 Price: $126 (course materials not included; see Course Materials for details), includes 6 Sessions each 1.5 hours in duration Course Description: Through a series of demonstrations and guided exercises, and with plenty of time to experiment and create individual works of art, we’ll have fun learning about the art of watercolor painting. Topics will include color theory and mixing, watercolor washes, saving whites and lights, creating texture, subject matter selection, planning your painting, sketching, laying in base washes, and adding in the details. Instructor: Stacy Johnston Course Location: Online Live via Zoom Number of Students - Min / Max: 4 / 8 Prerequisites: Zoom Capabilities. You will receive Zoom conference access details in advance of the class start date. Course Materials: * • Van Gogh Watercolors, 10 ml tubes - Azo Yellow Medium, Permanent Red Deep, and Ultramarine Deep • Strathmore 300 Series Tape Bound Watercolor Pad - 9'' x 12'', Cold Press • Blick Scholastic Short Handle Golden Taklon Brushes - Flat Wash, Size 3/4'', Round, Size 1, and Round, Size 8 • Plastic Palette - 11 3/4'' x 8 3/4'', 4 Square Wells/ 5 Round Wells, Rectangular (Item #:03426-1875). Or, a white ceramic or plastic plate works even better!
