Course Name: Writing & Illustrating with Friends Group Course ID: POD-W&IF-102 Grades: 1-3 Price: $61, includes 4 Sessions each 1 hour in duration Course Description: The Writing & Illustrating with Friends Group provides an online space for friends, to write and illustrate together during one-hour sessions. Instructor Ms. Johnston, will lead the group through creative writing exercises and illustrating projects. We'll make and keep a writers journal, use writing prompts to jump-start creativity, and graphic organizers / storyboards to map out words and visuals, learn more about and have fun with character development (descriptive, and practice drawing each character with different expressions and in different situations), reinforce sight words, and expand our vocabulary with use of more wow-words! Register to reserve space(s), and invite friends to join in on the fun! Instructor: Stacy Johnston Course Location: Online Live via Zoom Number of Students - Min / Max: 3 / 6 Prerequisites: Zoom Capabilities. You will receive Zoom conference access details in advance of the class start date. Course Materials: A special journal-line-making pen will be mailed prior to the course start date and the $5.00 materials & mailing fee is included in the course price. Home Supplies to Have Readily Accessible: • Sharpened pencils • Eraser • Black ball point pen • Paper (sketchbook or approximately eight sheets of blank printer paper per each session) • Crayons (minimally red, yellow and blue) • Color Pencils • Kid friendly scissors • Glue stick • Tape • Surface protection covering (placemat, plastic tablecloth, newspaper, etc.) Custom Courses: This posted course is designed for students in grades 1-3.
